I was just wondering, I m worried because I am sexually active & my boyfriend and I had sex and he cummed in me (condom broke) in under 5 hours I got a morning after pill & I got my period a bit later then normal. But now it s the 2nd month after I took it and I haven the had my period since... I m 12 days over my due date! Should I be worried?!?

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. There is no need to worry about the possibility of conception in the current scenario. The reasons being the use of an emergency contraceptive pill within the stipulated time and the attainment of normal menstrual pattern after the incident. The cause of the current delay in the menstrual cycle is more likely to be a transient hormone imbalance. This can happen due to stress or use of the high progesterone pill in the previous cycle thus disrupting the hormonal milieu of the body. Please check with your health care provider and plan further management. Take care.
