Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 2 year old grandson got pinkeye last Wednesday. On Friday he received medicine and drops were used on him for 3 days until they ran out for 2 days. He is receiving the drops again and it is much better, even hardly noticeable. My mom is afraid to come to Thanksgiving dinner because of possibly getting it. Isn t it true that she would have to come in contact with a towel that he has used or touch his eye etc to get it? I am trying to convince her to come, but not touch him.
hi, don't worry as the eye condition of your grand son is already better the chances of spreading to others is very low, but make sure all the cloths hand kerchief, towels and bed linens used by him during the infectious time are washed and sterilized properly. take care
