Is Pea Sized Lump Inside The Right Side Of Tongue Concerning?

My son has a pea size lump inside the right side of his tongue. Is that something to worry about? Does he need to see a doctor or some sort of specialist? Is there something he can try before he spends money he doesn t have? Plus he doesn t have insurance. Thank you! We are desperately seeking an answer!

Hi..
Welcome to HCM
With the above description I could think of a condition called as mucus retention cyst ....its a benign one absolutely no harm..that occurs in oral cavity mucosa..if on the tongue you are talking about it could be a enlarged papilla..its better if you can mention more details like his age, habits, history of trauma, exact location of swelling, any pain,...we can ccorrelate better ...wish him a speedy recovery... However you can show him to a go and what he describes that you can write on HCM ...We are always there to help you...
