my kid is due for dpt booster dose and heard about painless vaccine with less side effects. but my doc. says there is nothing like that available .so i wanted to knw about it. ....like with what name it is available in market and at what cost. thank u

In DPT the P or Pertussis content is of either whole cell or Acellular type. It's called DPwT or DPaT. The acellular variety shall cause less side effects. The term 'painless' is misnomer as prick pain will be there and some fever or pain may still occur at injection site. But overall side effects are much less.
