Is Painful Swollen Neck Glands Due To Quitting Pain Medication?

I have swollen glands in my neck actually very painful for the last 2 days could this be a result from quitting pain meds? I have been clean from pain meds for 5 days now.. Also I thought I tasted poison in my mouth. And I cannot sleep at night. I wake up and seem to have the most energy around midnight. Do I need to go get checked or should I just wait and see if these glands feel better in a few days?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
hi and thanks for the query,
painful glands in the neck are not because of quitting pain medication.
they indicate that there is some infection in the draining area like throat, nose, ear, mouth or sinuses.
please see a doctor to know the source of infection.
regards,
Dr Rajkishori Godhi.
