Is Pain In The Left Thigh A Side Effect Of Amoxicillin?

my son had a sore throat 2 weeks ago, initial test was negative for strep however they put him on an antibiotic, 3 days ago his throat was hurting again. I took him to the doctor and this time is tested positive for strep. They put him on amoxicillin he had a dose last night and one this morning now he is saying his left thigh is sore and hurts to walk. Could this be a side effect of the amoxicillin?

Thigh pain is a very rare side effects of Amoxicillin and are not common at all

there are very Little chances of Thigh pain due to Amoxicillin

if pain is mild and there is no other symptoms u can wait and watch but if pain is too much and he is not even able to walk than you should immediately go to the Doctor for Follow up

if you feel uncomfortable with medications you should contact your physician for further evaluation of the issue
