Is Pain At The Back Of Knee Due To Baker S Cyst?

Can a bakers cyst cause pain to run from the back of the knee and about 5 inches up the back of the thigh? I have a large cyst that is swollen but today when going from sitting to standing a sharp pain went thru my knee and now it s causing a lot of pain behind the knee and on up.

Hi,Dear,Thanks for your query to HCM.
Dear I read your query and reviewed it with context to your query facts.
I understood your health concerns and feel Concerned about them.

Based on the facts of your query, you seem to suffer from-
Morant Bakers Cyst-
Which is the herniation of the Synovial membrane of knee joint coming out from weakness in post popliteal knee capsular fibers.
From sitting to standing, the sharp pain in back of knee indicates entrapment of periarticular fat supplied from Tibial nerve posteriorly, which bifurcates from femoral nerve just above the knee joint posteriorly.
Its the entrapment of tissue supplied by end fibers from Tibial nerve to the popliteal post knee capsular fibers, which cause this severe sharp pain of entrapment of nerve fibers.
NSAIDs with Tramadol would take care of knee pain with Neurobion Tablets over 5-7 days time.
Hope this would help you to treat your health issues in the best way possible.
Welcome for any further query in this regard.
Good Day!!
