Is Occurrence Of Chocolate Cyst In Ovary, Common In Females?
hi doctor i am 26 years old female married (7 months old)...........i got my ultrasound report today as i was feeling lower abdominal pain and back pain from past 8-9 days.In my ultrasound report they have mentioned that i have two cyst(choclate) in right overly with a size of 43x39 mm and 32x28mm in thickness and in bigger one there is echogenic lesion seen .....they have given the impression as endometriosis/right ovarian cyst/dermoid and further recommend a MRI and ask me to consult a gyanacologist..........i am going to see a doctor tomorow............but i am really worried as is there any complication in conceiving as i will plan preganancy within 3-4 months..............is it normal to have such kind of cysts...........my menstrual cycle is normal with normal bleeding for 3 days..............please waiting for valuable feedback

hi... choclate cysts in the ovary affect oocyte quantity and quality and >4 cm cysts are to be laparoscopically removed, we see what is the tubal status at the same laparoscopy..next if it is dermoid ...then it has to be removed and Histopathology confirms the diagnosis.Then full evaluation of the ovulation taking place or not and ovarian reserve would decide the plan of action
