Is Numbness And Itching A Symptom Of Cancer?

I m a 29 year old male and I have a few questions. I have made an appointment with a dermatologist but I am curious to a few things I have going on. I have quite a few flat moles that aren t raised above the surface but are irregular in shape/borders. I have noticed a small amount of possible discoloration in them. The largest one is on my back and what I thought was numb from a previous mole removed, I just realized is no where near the area of the mole I had removed. The numbness is about 1-2 inches around the mole. I m wanting to know if numbness and itching is a characteristic of cancer or not?

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

Cancer symptoms in a mole are
1. sudden increase in size
2. appearance of hair
3. discharge in a more
4. change in color of mole

If the numbness is around 2 inches away from the mole then cancer is unlikely a possibility. However it is safe to consult your dermatologist and get is examined clinically.

After examination, if your dermatologist suggests a biopsy to be done then it is required for confirmation. Please do not worry.
