Hello,

I am 42 y old man.

Got B12 and CBC test done. The results show B12 level as 1108 pg/ml and

Platlet distribution width - 16.6%, mean platlet volume - 11.3%, and lymphocytes %age - 40.8%.

What do they indicate. I was taking B12 supplements for 2 months on doctor advise.

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your clinical history and query, my opinion is as follows:
1. Vit B12, raised levels usually do not occur as it is a water soluble vitamins
2. Raised Vit B12 can be associated with cancers or chronic inflammation like liver problems.
3. Even if you taken, I would not expect Vit B12 levels to raise so much.

Discuss with your doctor and do regular followup and if possible, a complete battery of tests to rule out any important treatable conditions.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
