Is Mood Swings Common In Type 1 Diabetic Patients?

My partner has been diabetic type 1 for 25years. I have been his partner for nearly 2years. He sometimes displays terrible angry mood swings for no reason at all and the next minute he is ok. I know this can be typical of someone who is type 1 but at times I find this very difficult. He does not seem to want to talk or address this.

I think its more of a stress related issue than Diabetes. i do agree that there is a possibility of mood changes with fluctuating sugar levels. If the sugars are manageable i think you need to have a open conversation with your partner. Concentrate more on anxiety and stress related factors.
