Is Mild Pain After Head Injury Serious?

Good morning, I hit my head really hard on the metal footboard yesterday and a large welt about an inch formed on my head. I compressed, iced and elevated my head and the lump went away. Of course I have mild pain, but it's not getting any worse. Is my brain ok? I threw myself onto the mattress pretty hard. Help

Unlikely to be a serious issue according to me.The pain should fade away gradually with over the counter pain killers.Patients still doubting,go for a CT Brain.Hope i have answered your query.Revert back to us for any follow up query..
