Is Melting Of Small Amount Of Plastic Into Food Harmful?

I just beat hot potatoes in the Tupperware cake taker. I noticed as I washed it that there May have been a small amount of plastic that shredded/melted into the 5 pounds of potatoes (about 1/16 of an inch square of paper thin plastic. Is this dangerous?

Dont worry i dont think it would have caused any problem. However, in future kindly be careful as these are carcinogenic materials.
