Is Marijuana Safe After Jaw Surgery ?

I live in California and have a prescription for medical marijuana because I was hit by a drunk driver and my back is now out of whack. I recently had jaw surgery and was wondering if I could safely use a vaporizer to smoke my marijuana. I also have a prescription for hydrocodone but I don t like the way it makes me feel

Hi,

I guess there should be no damage to operated area if you use a vaporizer but still I would suggest that you should cross-check and confirm with your surgeon before doing so. You can also ask for a prescription of non-opioid analgesics. They can provide pain relief without any psychotropic effects, unlike opioids like hydrocodone.

Best wishes.
