Is Low Lying Anterior Placenta A Cause For Concern During Pregnancy?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...hi I was diagnosed with a low lying anterior placenta at week 17. I got 2 different answers from 2 doctors re excercising. one said I can walk as much as I want an I can go on the treadmill for 30min or more but I have to walk slow but no sex, heavy lifting, or any strenuous work. the other dr said that I can only walk 10min at a time an very slowly and of course no sex and heavy lifting. pls let me know which opinion you agree with and if I can do the stationary bike? many thanks!

Hello

Low lying placenta/placenta previa is common in early weeks but in majority of the cases,it migrate from its place with advancement of pregnancy.
You may need follow up scan.
As you have early pregnancy,it is expected that placenta will migrate from its original low position.
I agree with your second doctor's opinion.I also suggest to avoid strenuous activities. You need to take proper rest.

Wish you a happy and safe pregnancy.
Take Care
