Iron defeciency in the pregnancy is common, your treating doctor will decide on the treatment like Iron tabs, Intramusclar injections of iron, Intravenous injection depends on the Haemoglobin level.
If your Hb level is slightly less then you can correct it by Iron tab.
Iron tab have less side effects like gastritis, vomiting, blackening of the stools.Otherwise it is safe drug.
