Is Low Body Temperature Related To Elevated TSH Levels?
Hi Dr. Grief I have been waking up with a low body temperature of 96.3 for about 2 weeks now in addition sleeping and breathing with an open mouth and waking with dry mouth. I had my blood checked on Jan 29, 2014 and had a TSH level of 4.75, borderline, which will be retested in about one month. I am a m/w. 64 years old with a history of amyloidosis in remission for 3 years. I wanted to know if these symptoms are related to my elevated TSH level and could be related to my thyroid gland?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, what the symptoms you have may not be due to endocrine dysfunction neither it is related with the old history of amyloidosis but it seems to be due to functional elements so try to come out of this, control your thoughts, in differential diagnosis sleep apnea needs to be ruled out what the symptoms you have hope this information helps.
