Is Low Haemoglobin Common In Women And What Is The Good Supplement For This?
I have female friend. She is having hemoglobin level below 8 points. During her period she is loosing lot of blood.
Doctor recommend her to tale ferrous sulphate. My question is it the common problem in ladies. What kind of ferrous tablet you will suggest to take her.

I really appreciate your concern, this is not common only in female, as a matter of fact low hemoglobin is not common disease either in male or female but it is the underlying cause that matters in your friend's case too the underlying cause of low hemoglobin need to be investigated, instead of taking ferrous tab better to treat the underlying cause, hope this information helps you, have nice day.

Genreally there are many factors which leads to anamia in female like menses , childbirth , growth sprort , feeding habits,.....etc . So the normal level of haemoglobin % are less than male counterpart .
As your friend has 8% hb which is low and probable cause may be menorhagia so she should meet a gynecologist ( to diagnose the cause through examination n investigation n probably require to be on oc pills if no gross abnormalities ).
She definitely requires to be on iron supplement through medicine ( which your doc has given which needed to be taken for 4 - 8 weeks ) foods like green vegetables , fruits , dry fruits , jaggery ,....etc.
