Hi,
Return of ovulation may take one or two cycles and hence no predictions can be made as to the ovulation status. The spotting could be due either to a hormonal breakthrough due to imbalance or to implantation bleed of an early pregnancy. A clinical evaluation by an expert along with a pregnancy test and a sonogram of the pelvis, preferably through the trans-vaginal route, help to obtain a diagnosis. If pregnancy is negative, you may need hormone assessment to plan further management. Hope this helps.
