General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear,
Understand your concern.
Linchen planus is not a contagious disease.
Cause is not known.
It is autoimmune disease in which T cell induced apoptosis of epithelial cell occur.
It is not sexually transmitted.
You can do sex.
But if sex hurt you like pain and bleeding, you can take safety precaution like use of condoms, lotion and maintain hygiene.

There is no cure for linchen palnus.
Lesion itself resolve in 6-9 months.

You can take the following drug:
1. First line drug: Corticostroid: Oral prednisolone and topical betamethsone.
2. Second line drug: Rrtinoids can be used.
3. Altenative drug: Taacrolimus and cyclosporin.

So take medicine for better response and avoid triggering factor of relapse.

Hope this may help you.
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
