Is Less Sleep And Sweating Indication Of Menopause?

I am a 52 yr old woman who has been diagnosed with a rectocele prolapse, have always had night sweats but now I seem to be unable to sleep due to the flashes and sweats, is there any connection or is it likely menopause? I have gone 2 days with less than 3 hours sleep.

Yes, these can be symptoms of menopause or perimenopause, which means nearing menopause. There are certain hormonal changes which can be responsible for the night sweats and decreased sleep and other sleep issues. The definition of menopause is cessation of period for 12 months. You should get the blood tests for hormones.
