Dear i would be able to help you better if you had mentioned what kind of laser the doctor has suggested for her ? one kind of excimer laser is for refraction which is done to get rid of glasses if patient is using them for vision and need cosmesis Another laser is for making a hole in iris to relieve the pressure of eye for a better control in glaucoma patient and decreasing need for topical drops.Similarly another laser can be for retina if your wife is developing any oedema or symptoms there.
