Is Kidney Function Test Possible At Home?

Hi I m experiencing upper back aching right now along with sharp pains occassionally. I recently had an ER visit where I believed someone spiked my drink. I had the symptoms of a stroke victim they said in the ER. They wanted to do a ct scan of my brain. but they said my kidneys were at 50% function and wanted me to be aware the dye could do more damage. That happened around 1/20/16. Now my back is bothering me can I do a home kidney function test?

hi.

no. it is best and safest for you to have your blood extraction for creatinine levels done at a diagnostic laboratory or in a clinic/hospital setting. this is to maintain sterile conditions, safety in handling and transferring of the specimen, etc. also, physical examination and clinical evaluation will be best prior to extraction. and if in case any problem or concern occurs, your medical accessibility is not compromised.

hope this helps.

good day!!
