Is It To Be Concerned About The Soft Spot On The Head?

I am a fifty eight year old woman . I just recently noticed a long soft spot on the left side of my head. It feels like my skull is separating in that spot .I noticed it after I fell and hit my head on that side.this happened in august.I felt out of it for a few days after but did not think anything of it until I just recently noticed this. What could this be? I have no health insurance until the first of January.

as this soft spot is after the injury on the skull there may be a dent in the skull bone. for that CT brain should be done to rule out bone fracture and with brain lesions will also be screened.
