Is It Sufficient To Cut Back On Fat With Premature Ventricular Contraction Of Heart And High Triglycerides?

I m a 46 year old female and one month ago I had some heart irregularities so I went to emergency and the EKG showed very frequent PVC s but the doctor did not see anything alarming, just that my triglycerides were high (for the first time in my life) so he told me to cut back on eating fat. He ordered me a 5 day heart monitor test which I got two weeks later. I had 20 events (that s what the nurse called them) in 5 days. I know for a fact this heart monitor did not record PVC s because it didn t audibly record when I had PVC s. Instead it recorded when I didn t necessarily feel anything unusual. I went to ER again last night (one month later) because I have been experiencing PVC s with some chest, left back, and left arm discomfort. Although I have not received the results of the heart monitor yet, this ER doctor wasn t concerned by the 20 events in 5 days. He tried to convince me to take an anti-depressant after asking if there was anything causing me to worry. I said no thank you to the antidepressants because I have tried some in the past and find that the side effects are not bearable. He then referred me to a cardiologist (thank goodness) and ordered X-rays for the cardiologist to look at. He didn t see anything unusual in the chest X-rays so he sent me home with one lorazepam tablet and told me to tell the cardiologist if it did anything. I woke up 7 hours later with the same PVC s and the same symptoms that made me go to ER last night: mild pain between my breasts, a feeling like a knitting needle is poking through my heart and under my shoulder blade in the back (mild discomfort) and some mild numbness and tingling in my left arm ( in addition to pounding PVC s) which have been progressively more frequent over the past month. I truly believe what I feel is not hiatus hernia, but heart related. I am also waiting to see my GP for the results of a sleep apnea test which, according to my husband, wasn t necessary because he knows that I stop breathing in my sleep. I am concerned about the link between sleep apnea (which I don t know how long I ve had (other than I wake up with terrible headaches and feel like I haven t slept some mornings) and heart damage. Is there any advice you can give me to prepare myself for my visit with the cardiologist?

Hi I read ykur query very carefjlly.

I suggest living a healthy lifestyle and wait for analysis and exams results for a proper diagnosis and treatment.

Yes sleep apnea may lead to Pvc and chest pain but it should be confirmed with the mentioned exams.

Also I suggest to consult a gastroenterologist to rule out gallbladder stones and GERD.
Hope it answered your query.
