Is It Serious Condition To Have High ESR Count While Suffering From Fever And Taking Antibiotics ?

my 7 years old son suffering from high fever since last 6 days and antibiotics taken. When we check the esr the count is high as 80 ph . Is it a serious condistion?

Hello.
Welcome to HCM.
ESR is bound to rise with any long standing or chronic infection. Though minor ailments like common viral fevers will not cause it to rise as much as 80. You need to correct the fever by using appropriate antipyeretics and antibiotics, and get a repeat count after say one week after fever subsides. It should return to normal.
