Is It Safe To Walk While Having Calcium Build Up In Calf Area?

I went to the emergency room last night due to pain on the right side from my hip down to my ankle. I had an x-ray done. The doctor found calcium build up in the calf of my leg due to an injury that happened 14 years ago. The doctor gave me crutches and told me to stay off of it. Would walking on it make it worse?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if this was the history of pain and imaging report shows calcification then this may not be the cause of pain, underlying cause of pain need to be found out with the help of MRI, in my opinion, sciatica may be the cause of this, no need to use crutches, better to see the orthopedic surgeon, hope this information helps, take care.
I find this answer helpful
