General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. Don't put vicks in nebulizer. It is harmful for kids. Even for adults it is not advised to put in nebulizers. Your kid's problem can be due to allergy or nasal congestion due to adenoid enlargement. Syrups like levosalbutamol will be helpful if broncoconstriction is there. If there is nasal congestion only then syrups with nasal decongesants like phenylephrine and antihistamines like chlorpheniramine will be helpful. A consultation with a pediatrician or ENT specialist is well appreciated. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
