Is It Safe To Use Macrobid To Treat Bacterial Vaginosis?
Can bacterial vaginosis be cured with macrobid? I was prescribed macrobid for frequent urination and vaginal pain/ swelling. I have no itching or discharge. Could this be bacterial vaginosis? If so will the macrobid help? I am now getting a swollen lump in my groin area on the right side, could the infection be spreading?

In the absence of any discharge, it is unlikely that you have bacterial vaginosis, it normally has a fishy vaginal discharge.
Macrobid is not used to treat bacterial vaginosis.
The lump may be an abscess forming. This is a collection of pus.
It would need to be incised and drained. This is a minor procedure usually that can be done in office.
