Is It Safe To Use Fertab For PCOS?

Hi Doc, I m Lovely 31 y/o and married for 6 years. In that years of marriage we did nt visit to a doctor and just last year we decided to. I was diagnosed of having pcos so I undergo treatment. My first OB recommended me to do pap smear, tvs and regular taking of fertab and duphaston (with calendar guidelines). For how many months I observed that there s no positive result. I also wondering why she did nt even make some test with my husband ex. sperm cell count. So I did my own search via internet and I read some articles that too much taking of fertab is not advisable. Currently, we stop visiting that OB and started to look for another one who could help us thoroughly. My question doc., is how safe does the fertab do and in my case that I have pcos. I know it is not possible to answer this specifically but just a small courage from you doc., Do I have a big chance doc. to get pregnant?

You only mentioned that you are a patient of pcod ( pcos ) .
Doctor advise you to take fertotab tablet ( clomifene ) , this drug is used 50 mg ,increase dose up to 100 mg for total 6 cycle ( anovulatory infertility ) .
While you are very eager for conception .
You can get pregnancy , because it depend on OVULATION ( IT IS ON DAY 14TH 15TH of menstrual cycle ) , endometrium thickness ( > 11mm ) .
While many doctor prescribe birth control pill for treatment for pcos with metformin .
Birth control pill and metformin is the most trusted treatment for pcos .
Once your pcos treated , there will not be medical concern , doctor will stop
drugs and you will get pregnancy.
