I am living in Asia. I have just conceived through IUI with polyp detected on the day of procedure. It is my week 4 of pregnancy now. However, I am supposed to travel in 2 weeks time to USA. Would it be safe to be on a long haul flight? Gynae and nurses are not encouraging though.
Dear madam,I understand your concern.in my opinion in any pregnancy journeys are encouraged only in 2nd trimester ie.,from 13 wks to 28 wks.so better postpone your journey.and you have said a polyp was noticed .if it is a cervical polyp then there is chance of bleeding so dont strain yourself either physically or mentally.relax.of course its not a big problem but if at all it bleeds it will make you anaemic so take proper care of yourself and also better avoid intercourse.all the best and have a happy pregnancy.
