Hi doctor ..Im Revathy..I'm 20 yrs old.I have severe acne problem since my high school..Once I consulted a local dermatologist and her prescribed tretiva 10mg..I took tretiva continuously for 6 months.. After the course my skin was perfect for 1 yr.. Now I got pimples again.. and it is in worst condition.. when i consulted him again.. He prescibed krimson 35.. Is it safe to take tablets like this for acne problem?? Please help me out doctor..
Hi, Revathy.. Acne vulgaris is a multifactorial skin disease.Genetic predisposition, stress, anxiety,oily food,milk,seborrhoea,dandruff etc. may exacerbate the disease. As previous experience, you start isotretinoin 10 mg daily at night and minocycline 50 mg in morning daily for 6 months or till good result. Apply clindamycine or adapalene gel daily at night. Cleanse the face with antiseptic face wash. I hope you may be improved. Please avoid krimson35.
