Pepto-Bismol is used for treating heartburn, upset stomach, indigestion, nausea & diarrhea - it can cause constipation (severe), so there s no sense of taking it while you re constipated. On the other hand, docusate sodium may cause pseudo-stomach flu that lasts for some minutes, when it gives its proper effect.
