Is It Safe To Take Premarin For Retinal Vein Occlusion ?

I have been diagnosed witlh central retinal vein occlusion and all tests are negative. I have been taking Premarin for hot flashes and now reading that may cause vision changes. Do you have any knowledge that by vision changes may mean vein occlusion? Can get no definite answer from mfg co. I have stopped taking it, and am trying Estroven, but still having hot flashes. I had such good results w/Premarin but am now afraid to take it.

Hello
Premarin is used to treat symptoms of menopause like hot flushes.
Vision changes mean dimunition of vision and it is different from retinal vein occlusion. Retinal vein occlusion is because of occlusion of the retinal veins and it leads to gross loss of vision.
Hence no need to worry you can continue taking treatment for your symptoms of hot flushes.

Thank you
