Is It Safe To Take Coversyl/propranolol Daily While Having High BP?
Is it safe to take 8mg of coversyl and 20 mg of propranol per day? I have high blood pressure. This started about 4-5 years ago. Prior to that I was prescribed propranol for severe migraine headaches. I am a 42 year old female. Average bp ranges from 150/90 - 160/105. I eat very healthy, exercise almost daily. Quit a high stress job almost 2 years ago. Non-smoker. I am frustrated because the bp continues to be on high side and I don t know what else to do.
Welcome to HealthcareMagic, Your blood pressure is very high, you need to visit your physician as your medication needs to be changed. Normal blood pressure for adults is less than 140 over 90. In order to control blood pressure follow the given below advice: 1. Regular exercise such as brisk walking for at least 30 minutes per day 2. Consume a diet rich in fruits, vegetables and low fat dairy products. 3. Reduce salt intake to less than 5 grams per day (1 teaspoon is approximately 5 grams) 4. Take your medications regularly and get your blood pressure checked at least once a month. Hope that answers you question. Regards, Dr.Imaad
