Is It Safe To Take Antibiotics In Pregnancy?
Hi doc, I am in my 36th week of pregnancy and developed servere cough for the past 15 days .Have tried some hom,e remedies also.But no effect till date. Now my doc has recommended AUGMENTIN 625 & B COMPLEX FORTE ..can u plz advice is it safe to have these medicines during this time

At 36 weeks of pregnancy, taking any antibiotic will not affect the growing fetus... taking any teratogenic drug at early pregnancy like 4 to 8 weeks will affect the fetus.. Augmentin contains penicillin and clavulunic acid... nothing much to worry, you can continue with drugs..
