Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 38 years old 5 feet 2 inches 204 pounds prediabetic and severely anemic and had cataracts surgery on the 21rst of August. All appointments have proven ok and I have had little to no eye pain. However starting about Monday the 5th of september I have been running a fever of 99.5 that will not break when tylenol is taken. My normal body temp is 97.1 Other symptoms are headache, and minor eye ache, with everything feeling too bright to look at. What should I do? Is it safe to try advil fo the fever?
Thank you for asking! yes you can take Advil for fever but fever always indicate underlying infection and inflammation. so i suggest if the symptoms persist seek a doctor some some lab work to sort out the cause of this fever, advil till then. Take care
