Is It Safe To Take Geodon With Klonopin For Restlessness?

I have been prescribed geodon once again...dr says that taking a higher dose can prevent the uncomfortable and restless feeling I get sooner after taking. Last time I got a prescription for it they said adding clonipin would help with the restless and constant movement. I don't like clonipin because I feel groggy the next day but I also don't like the uncomfortable movements and anxiety I get with taking geodon. Not sure what to do...I feel like I got better rest with geodon...what to do

I can understand your concern. Geodon is Ziprasidone and the drug is an antipsychotic drug. The drug is a safe drug and is free of serious side effects. Klonopin is Clonazepam and the drug is a benzodiazepine drug. Ziprasidone is used commonly for psychotic symptoms but also sometimes in intractable anxiety, restlessness and in mood stabilisation. When the drug is taken sometimes it may result in increased restlessness and such anxiety and uncomfortable feelings occurs more during start of therapy.

In my opinion taking Clonazepam is a good idea as this will help to improve the symptoms of restlessness and will help. Its safe to take the drug with Geodon. No need to worry. Take the medicines as per your psychiatrist's prescription only.
