Is It Safe To Take Fefol Spansule Capsules During Pregnancy?

Hi. I am 3 weeks pregnant and am very excited! As a cause to my distress I have just noticed that women with less than 13 weeks pregnancy should not take FEFOL Spansule capsules as it is mentioned in its leaflet. and I have taken 8. why I shouldn t have had Fefol and now what happens to me?

Hi

Dont get stressed out.

Iron is not prescribed on first trimester of pregnancy as it adds to the nausea and vomiting which also occurs due to pregnancy .

If you have anaemia you can take iron. Otherwise just take folic acid.

You must take folic acid. Usually No other medicines are prescribed in first trimester as that is the period of organ formation in baby.
The iron you have taken is not going to harm your baby. So don't worry and enjoy your pregnancy.
