Is It Safe To Take Allegra And Mucinex For Cough And Congestion?

I have been sick with congestion and cough since before Easter. Heavy wracking cough. Not really coughing up much, not discharging from nose. I *think* this is allergies, which I have had a problem with my whole life. I had been taking the green-daily allergy (Zyrtec-generic?). Doc said switch to Allegra, and take Mucinex. That was two weeks ago. Am also on second round of antibiotics, with not any real change in symptoms. Any suggestions or ideas? hi
Please continue the prayers...
your doctor has suggested the required treatment at this point- the medicines often take sometimes little longer to control the chest symptoms-you need only to avoid smoke and dust.
A complete blood count and x ray chest may be needed after another 1-2 weeks of medicines if symptoms do not control..
regards,
