General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome.
I can understand your concern.
I am sorry to know about your situation.
Arip MT is not a habit forming medicine.

Arip MT (Aripiprazole) is an atypical antipsychotic & antidepressant prescribed for schizophrenia (psychosis), depression & bipolar disorder.
It is effective for abnormal conditions like disturbed or unusual thinking, loss of interest in life, and strong or inappropriate emotions.

If you stop taking it abruptly you may experience exacerbation of symptoms described above. So, it should be tapered under the supervision of a psychiatirist over several weeks to prevent the symptoms.

Hope this answers your query.
