Is It Safe To Reduce The Oxygen Tank Level For My Baby Suffering From Sepsis And Pneumonia?

Hello Doctor, I live in Ecuador I have my 3 week old son who was diagonsed with sepsis and pneumonia, he was in the Noenatology department for almost 2 weeks with treatment, anyways he was send home to us, but the only problem is that he was sent home with oxigen, the doctor said that he is fine, but does not want to live the oxigen tank i had him on one fouth and i recently lower his oxigen level to 1/8 how can i fasten the process, he breaths fine with that amount for now, should i try lowering his tank level even more i need some advice thank you for your help, by the way he was born 36 weeks

Hi,
Thanks for asking query on health care magic.
Gradually you can decrease the amount of oxygen.
Or you can stop and observe the child.
If the child breathes normally without developing cyanosis and without increase in the respiratory rate you can do away with it otherwise restart the oxygen at a level where the baby is fine.
