Is It Safe To Have Pacemaker In Heart While Suffering From Asthma?

Hi. My gradnmother is 85 yrs old & has a pacemaker in her heart, inserted about 5 yrs ago. In the past 3 yrs she has been suffering from acute coughing problems. There have been many tests related with asthma & coughing done, but all are inconclusive. Please assist.

Well come to HCM
Here the cardiac asthma need to be ruled out although this is nothing to take with Pacemaker, on other hand if the patient is on pacemaker then asthma could be due to cardiac disease,(sever arrhythmia could cause the breathlessness ) better to get done the echo, to rule out the ventricular function and all valve parameters, if this turned out cardiac asthma then need to be treated in that manner, hope this information helps, take care.
