Psychiatrist 's  Response
It is safe to take Amlong A. Rather, it is immensely beneficial if it is keeping your blood pressure under control.
Keeping blood pressure under control is necessary for both physical health and mental health. Uncontrolled blood pressure has adverse effect on heart and respiratory system. It can also contribute to serious illnesses such as dementia in old age.
Amlong A is a combination of a calcium channel blocker (amlodipine) and a beta-blocker (atenolol). It is not advisable to stop these medicines without consulting your doctor. Stopping atenolol can cause rebound hypertension.
Good control of blood pressure and regular exercise will help you. Continuing to smoke will harm your health in various ways.
I hope this answers your question.

Neurologist Dr. Olsi Taka's  Response
I read your query carefully and I understand your concern.
Amlong A contains two different drugs Atenolol and Amlodipine. They are both widely used to trest hypertension and they have only a few possible side effect. Since you have been using them for a long time without problems there is no reason to fear those side effects will appear now.
There is also no long term consequence from their use for a long time, often it's a lifelong treatment since essential hypertension is a chronic disease. So I don't see any particular reason for concern.
If you have further questions feel free to ask.
