is it safe to go over seas for a holiday after hernia operation, is the danger with blood clots , i am 54 years old.

For recovery of hernia It depends which surgery you are getting and what type, location the hernia is. It also depends on your overall health. normally recoveryperiod is 6week then you can continue your daily activities

It takes four to six weeks time for recovery and then gradual normalacy of work is resumed.It is better to avoid for about two months and the very precaution of not lifting weight will have to be observed.

You have under gone surgery for hernia .It is i suppose a inguinal hernia ;if it is then it is not a major surgery & so you can travel after 4 weeks .If it is 6 weeks or more then you can enjoy it to the fullest.Wish you a happy vacation.
