Hi and welcome to HCM..
Thank you for posting your query and I will definitely opine regarding your query.
I read your question completely and have understood it well.
I would like to inform you these following things. Take it seriously..
1. I need to know age of the baby.
If, within 6 months, I recommend exclusive breast feeding.
No formula can substitute mother's milk.
2. If baby is more than 6 months then, yes you can start lactogen.
But with these precautions.
A. No use of bottle feeds.
B. Give as paladai feeds, so that baby is not confused between bottle and nipples.
C. Most feeding problems start when you start bottle feeds, so avoid it.
And most importantly,
Take care to prepare the feeds.
And keep giving breast milk too..
Your query, of
constipation.
As far as I know, there should not be a problem of constipation. But avoid biscuits, encourage fluid intake and banana to the baby.
Hope this helps you.
In case you need any further assistance, let me know..
Take care. God bless you.
