Is It Safe To Drink Alcohol While On Metroonidazole Tablet?

Hi, I was prescribed Metroonidazole last Friday which I started taking one pill that night and 2 everyday after (I think I missed one on Saturday also) and I am going to be on vacation this weekend so I asked my doctor if I should stop taking it since I would be having a couple of alcoholic drinks and she said it would be fine. So I have been taking them for 5 days and my last pill was last night. I wanted to get a second opinion.

Since you are taking metronidazole and also want to take alcohol . Scientific studies proved that if alcohol and metronidazole are taken together there develop RASHES , NAUSEA, VOMITING, DIARRHEA , ABDOMINAL DISCOMFORT ANAPHYLAXIS .
In my opinion take care about these side effects and reactions.
