Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. Bupropion is an antidepressant drug and it causes little sedation. The drug is relatively safer drug but it can cause increased risk of seizures or some times hallucinations in individuals taking it. It is not advisable to take alcohol while on bupropion. Taking alcohol along with bupropion results in severe CNS or brain depression and this can cause sedation, sleepiness, abnormal behaviour or some times serious confusion or coma. So please dont drink while on this drug. Stopping alcohol abruptly may also cause severe withdrawal symptoms. In such confusing situation I'd advise you to call your doctor and take proper opinion.

Thanks, I hope this helps you. Take care
