Is It Safe To Continue With Vitamins And Antipyretic For Leukopenia And Thrombocytopenia?

Hello sir.My friend sunny age 31 is having fever since last 14 days.he did self medication with antibiotics but not relieved. Today we went to a doctor who after having blood investigation told him of leucopenia and thrombocytopenia and gave us vitamins and antipyretics.what further tests to be done and medicine to be used.

Thanks for posting in HCM.
Fever with blood tests revealing leucopenia and thrombocytopenia can be treated with vitamins and anti-pyretics.
However, it would be better to know what could be the cause for low WBC and Platelet counts.
Kindly get Dengue Antigen-Antibody test done to rule out Dengue.
Drink good quantity of fluids during this period.
In case it is viral fever other than Dengue, it should subside in about a week time.
