Is It Safe To Continue Using Neosporin And Benadryl For Shoe Bite?

I woke up to an itch Monday at 4am. When I got up I noticed a bite mark close to where my shoe made a slight mark from it rubbing me wrong. I applied neosporin and a bandaid. By Monday evening it was huge and had fluid. Tuesday mid day my ankle was swollen even though the bite is on my heal. I applied ice and took Benadryl last night. I went to the doctor this morning and they treated it for staff and said treating it for a bite isn t much different. They gave me an antibiotic shot and bactrum and told me to keep a heating pad on it and keep it elevated. I ve also kept neosporin and a bandaid on it the entire time. I ve read that for a bite I should not apply heat though so I m a little concerned. Is there anything else I can do or change because they said if it gets worse I will have to go to the ER.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if this is shoe bite then wound must be having some bacterial infection it needs some great care because it takes little more time for healing, it is better to treat the case with "Tab Amoxicillin with Clavulanic acid" twice in day, for local application "Povidone Iodine" for inflammation "Tab Ibuprofen 400 mg" three times in day, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
I find this answer helpful
